Technology as a Tool-
Information technologies provide opportunities to transform the way that teachers teach and students learn. It is the goal of Chichester School District to include technology as an integral tool for instruction, seamlessly and effectively.
Research has demonstrated that students learn best when they actively construct their knowledge. This use of technology as a tool makes it possible for our students to engage in learning practices that lead to new ways of thinking, understanding, constructing knowledge and communicating results.
All of our Schools have access to interactive whiteboards, desktop computers and laptop computer carts which access our wireless network. Every building in our district is connected through fiber optics and have a high speed dedicated 30MB connection to the Internet through the DCIU.
-The Chichester Technology Department provides expertise and full time support to each of our six schools.
-The Chichester Technology Department supports over 35 servers and 2000 computers throughout the district.
